Aven AI Quiz ("the Portal", "we", "us") is operated by Aven Academy, part of the Kartexa group of platforms, at aven.kartexa.com. This policy explains what information we collect from students, teachers and admins who use the Portal, and how we use it.

1. Information We Collect

Account details: name, email address, and class/section, provided by an admin or teacher when your account is created.
Quiz activity: the quizzes you attempt, your responses, scores, time taken, and submission timestamps.
Technical data: basic session information (such as login state) needed to keep the Portal secure and functioning.

We do not collect payment information, government ID numbers, or precise location data through this Portal.

2. How We Use Your Information

To operate quiz scheduling, grading, and performance dashboards for students, teachers and admins.
To generate performance reports and AI-style insights (strong/weak concept areas) based on your own quiz responses.
To allow you to optionally share a specific result with a parent, teacher, or peer via a private link or WhatsApp.
To maintain an internal audit log of sensitive actions (such as account or quiz changes) for security purposes.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent personal information. Quiz results are visible only to: the student themselves, their assigned teacher(s), and admins. A shareable result link exposes only that one specific attempt — never your full history or other students' data — and only to people you choose to send it to.

4. WhatsApp Sharing

The Portal offers optional buttons to share quiz codes or a submission confirmation via WhatsApp. These open WhatsApp with a pre-filled message; you choose the recipient yourself (or, for submission confirmations, it may go to a teacher/admin contact number configured by your institution). We do not automatically message your contacts without you tapping "Share".

5. Data Storage & Security

Data is stored in structured files on our hosting infrastructure with access restricted to the application itself. Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing (bcrypt) and are never stored or transmitted in plain text. Access to student, teacher and admin data is role-restricted: teachers can only see students and results within their own assigned classes.

6. Data Retention

Quiz question banks are retained indefinitely as academic content. Submission records are retained to support academic tracking and may be cleared periodically by an admin as part of routine maintenance (for example, at the start of a new term).

You may request correction of inaccurate account details, or deletion of your account and associated submission records, by contacting your admin or emailing us —

8. Children's Privacy

Many users of this Portal are school-age students. Accounts are created and managed by teachers/admins on behalf of an educational institution, not through public self-registration, and we limit data collection to what is necessary for academic use.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date above.
